High Heel Shoes and Halloween vs Steam Punk

I created this look today, while I was thinking about Halloween. Not that Steam Punk is a Halloween look by anymeans, but I found the Steam Punk dress and started building the look around it.

For those of you that dont know, Steam Punk is based Victorian literature, think HG Wells The Time Machine, the 1927 classic film Metropolis and more recently the film featuring Will Smith - Wild Wild West, really it is a Victorian alternative Science Fiction.

It quite often features industrial steam powered machinery, which is why you see metal gears and cogs embellished onto the clothes and shoes that are part of the genre.

I have added some Steam Punk style jewellrey and tried to put together a look that some may adore and others might find a bit extreme and just take individual items to use for their look.

I decided to some research into Steam Punk and I thought that some of you may be interested in finding out more . There is a magazine called Steam Punk Magazine (what else ? )
